Nancy Doan

Nancy Ann Doan was born on February 1, 1939 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of Norman and Wanita Hughes Wallis. She died Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 80.

Nancy grew up in Benton Harbor and later graduated from Benton Harbor High School.

In the late 1960s, she met Donnie Doan, and on May 1, 1971 they were united in marriage. They lived in Michigan for many years before moving to Glade, Kansas in 1989, and later to Beloit in 1997.

Nancy's grandparents got her interested in camping and fishing, which was something she greatly enjoyed, as well as playing pool in her younger years.

She was a member and Past President of the VFW Auxiliary, and was a faithful volunteer with the Isle of Lights.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kevin; and her sister, Janet.

She is survived by her husband Donnie; three children, Terri Allen and husband Robert of Paradise, AZ, Bruce Bruff and wife Kim of Lacey, WA, and Jackie Bruff and husband Bob Erlinger of Surprise, AZ; step-children, Donald Doan and wife Shelly of Wausau, WI, Debra Seaman and husband KC of Homer, AK, and Diane Lindsey and husband Ed of Batavia, OH; 11 grandchildren, Johnny Bruff, Brandi Berg, April Doan, Felicia Doan, Michael Doan, Richard Doan, Christopher Long, Angie Mather, Brian Mather, Dillon Lindsey, and Danielle Lindsey; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday, January 13 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-5 PM with family present from 1-3 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Meals on Wheels.
