Nolan Dean Lewis (Nini), 6, Beloit, left this world Thursday evening, April 13, 2017, to be with our Lord after a tragic accident north of Beloit. Nolan was born February 21, 2011, in Salina, KS.
He is survived by his mother, Kay Lynn Lewis and father, CJ Moore, older brother, Marley Lewis, and younger brother, Andy Moore, grandparents, Dan and Terry Siegrist, Steve and Cindy Hauck; aunt and cousin, Donna and Zain Siegrist; aunt and uncle Stacey and BJ Shipp and cousins, Skyler, McKenna, Cutter, and Keylie; aunts, Morgan Moore and Amy Kate; uncle and aunt Chad and Sasha Hauck and cousins Augusta and Chancy; uncle and aunt Jon and Brandie Hauck and cousins Takoda and Emma; uncle Jeff Hauck and cousins Ely and Bentlee; Great Grandparents, Charles and Donna Leadabrand, Berta Lou Siegrist, and LaDonna Hauck; and a multitude of loving family and friends.
He attended Beloit Elementary School, where his big brown eyes and adorable smile touched so many people. Nolan loved everyone and had the best hugs to let you know that. This very free-spirited little boy loved everything that had to do with outside. Running or riding his bike with his brothers was his favorite things to do. He enjoyed going out to the timber with Papa Dan, Zain, and his brothers to pull brush and load wood or go fishing at near-by ponds. During green bean season, he loved to snap beans with Grandma Terry and his brothers. He loved learning trick plays in football from Zain and playing some touch football with Papa Dan, Marley, and Zain (even though he laughed and squealed when he was being chased and would throw the ball so they would stop chasing him). All things to do with trains, especially Thomas, were also a favorite of his. Anytime he heard a train whistle, he was on the lookout. Something he enjoyed inside, were baking with his Mom, having Aunt Donna or Grandma Terry read books on end to him, and playing Marbles or Poker with Papa Dan and his brothers. Nolan also had a love of music (all kinds, but especially country). He loved to sing and dance all the time. He had an infectious giggle that melted your heart. Tickling him was one of the best. Sometimes he would ask to be tickled, then get to giggling and say, "I'm going to pee my pants," and he did a few times.
Angel Nini is now up in Heaven riding the trains and watching over all of us.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Thursday, April 20 at the McDonald-Roberts Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3-8Pm on Wednesday, April 19 with family present from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Beloit Elementary School.
