Paul Dwaine Seehafer was born November 21, 1960 to Mervin D. and Sonia Ann Balthazor Seehafer at Goodland, Kansas. He departed this life of 54 years at his home in Beloit, Kansas on Monday, September 7, 2015 after battling pancreatic cancer.
Paul's active life began as a small child. He moved around a lot with his parents and graduated from Beloit High School. He continued his education at North Central Kansas Technical College where he studied electronics and became a sound technician.
Paul married Kim Menhusen and three children Kara, Kristina, and Andrew were born to this union which was later dissolved. He later married Tammy Long and became the stepfather to her children Joshua, Kera, and Cassie.
Throughout Paul's busy life of activity and big dreams, he did a number of things, lived in a number of places, while always considering this area to be home. He was a sound technician and was offered a position with Bob Seger but declined in order to be home with his family. Paul could fix virtually anything and loved repairing electronic and mechanical things of all types. He had a motorcycle repair shop, later a roadside repair service, and most recently a Pest Control business. He loved music and played bass guitar. Perhaps his life could be summed up this way, "Not all who wander are lost."
Paul was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving Paul with fond memories are his wife Tammy of the home; mother Sonia Seehafer of Beloit; children Kara Leigh Sadler, Kristina Seehafer both of Salina, Andrew Seehafer and wife Melaney of Lindsborg; stepchildren Joshua Pemberton of San Diego, CA, Kera Lynn Owens and husband Chris of Shawnee, Cassie Pemberton of Enterprise, KS; one sister Mary Southworth of Lincoln, NE; five grandchildren Kieran Riley, Kelbi Owens, Coye Owens, Ryan Rutz, Addison Seehafer; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
