Paula M. Fitzpatrick

Paula M. Fitzpatrick was born on August 29, 1927 in Lyman County, South Dakota, the daughter of Herman and Margaret (Terca) Kortum. She died on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 9 days.
She was married to W. Howard (Howie) Fitzpatrick on December 1, 1962 in Enid, Oklahoma.
Paula was an avid bowler, and is a member of the Salina Bowling Hall of Fame. She coached junior bowling in Salina for 20 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cawker City, member of the Cawker City Senior Executive Board, and was on the Mitchell County Council on Aging.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Harold Kortum, and first husband George Dewey.
She is survived by her husband, Howie Fitzpatrick; two daughters, Jean (Tom) Peterson of Rapid City, SD, and Marie (Mike) Hobbs of Windsor, MO; two sons, Jody (Teri) Dewey of Independence, MO and Chris of Olympia, WA; brother, Zane Kortum of Alexandria, VA; sister, Betty Fernandez of Yucaipa, CA; one grandson; one granddaughter; and four great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Cawker City United Methodist Church, followed by burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Salina. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:30 PM Monday at the Church. Memorials may be given to the Church or the Cawker City Senior Citizens Center.
