Phyllis Rasdall

Phyllis Marie Hazen Rasdall was born November 21, 1929 in Stockton, Kansas to Orland and Ilah (Foster) Hazen. Through death, she joined her loved ones who have already passed on February 12, 2018. She graduated from Beloit High School and attended Kansas Wesleyan University. She was united in marriage to Milton Rasdall on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1949. They chose Easter because it symbolizes new beginnings. Milton and Phyllis celebrated 60 years of marriage before Milton died in 2009. To this union two daughters were born: Susan (Harold) Vignery, Salina, Kansas, and Janet Wenger, Hiawatha, Kansas.

Milton, Susan, and Janet were the main focus of her life. Phyllis had many interests and could do anything, and could talk on any subject. Phyllis was a spectacular cook, and would whip up something at a moment's notice when company dropped in. She was a wonderful artist, which many were not aware of. Phyllis loved the Lord as was apparent in how she lived her life. She was always involved in all aspects of her church. She would always say yes when she was needed, whether it was because a Brownie Scout leader was needed for her daughter, home room mother, bible study teacher, vacation bible school, Minerva Club president, funeral dinners, or church circle chairman. She was involved in Kansas Heart Association at both the local and state level. You could always count on Phyllis if she said "yes". She was so proud of her grandchildren: Melissa (Alan) Mall, Salina, Michelle (Jordy Dralle) Vignery, Santa Fe, NM, Matthew (Carla) Wenger, Powhattan, and Marc Wenger (Katie), Overland Park.

Phyllis was also proud to be 10 times a great grandmother to: David, Adeline, and Amelia Ollenberger, Salina, Ian and Alex Wenger, Powhattan, and Kennedie, Jackson, Charlie, Emme, and Porter Wenger, Overland Park.

Phyllis and her sisters, Mildred Laas, Overland Park and Barbara (Gerald) Meier, Beloit were always very close and had lots of fun together. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Milton; and grandson Joel Levi Vignery.

Memorial services will be at 11 AM Saturday, February 17 at the Beloit First United Methodist Church. Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Donor's Choice
