Presta Milard Fuller was born April 1, 1926 to Cornelius Ansell "Neil" and Aimee Margarette Hansen Fuller at Beloit, Kansas. He departed this life of 80 years, 10 months, and 6 days late Wednesday evening, February 7, 2007 at Hilltop Lodge in Beloit, Kansas.
"P.M." as everyone knew him, grew up in Beloit and graduated from Beloit High School in the Class of 1944. Following graduation, he was inducted into the United States Navy and received his honorable discharge on June 16, 1946.
On May 11, 1947, he married Geneva Jane Gates, and to this union were born four sons Brad, Mike, Mark, and Jeff. They made their home on a farm south of Beloit where he enjoyed farming. During the winter months, he helped his father Neil Fuller at the Fuller Implement Company by setting up and servicing farm machinery. Geneva died on August 28, 1975 and on May 2, 1976 he married Dorothy Jane Folkers Horne and became the father to her daughter, Ginger.
Like an excited child awaiting Christmas, P.M. looked forward to the first day of harvest each and every year. He would monitor the progress of the wheat while getting his fleet of Gleaner® combines ready for action. He also enjoyed custom cutting for others.
Besides hard work, P.M. loved his leisure time. He had a special love for the outdoors and always looked forward to family camping trips to the lake and Lake of the Ozarks, usually finding time to boat and fish. He was a 50 year member of the Mt. Vernon Lodge #145 AF&AM, the Isis Shrine Temple of Salina, and the Elks. Quieter moments were happiest spent playing bridge with his friends, and he enjoyed spending time in his shop working with wood.
P.M. was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6242 of Beloit, a 50 year member of the Mt. Vernon Lodge #145AF&AM, Isis Shrine Temple of Salina, and the Elks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Geneva, his brother Ansell Fuller, two sons Brad and Mike Fuller, one grandson Clinton Paul Fuller.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his wife Dorothy of the home; two sons Mark Fuller and wife Kim, Jeff Fuller and wife Tracy all of Beloit; his step daughter Ginger Robinson and husband Paul of Beloit; two daughters-in-law Paula Kisslinger and husband Kirby, Deb Fuller all of rural Beloit; thirteen grandchildren and a host many relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Bruce Keck officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the McDonald Funeral Home.
