Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the McDonald Funeral Home with Fred Severance officiating. Private burial of the ashes will follow in Simpson Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the Asherville Fire Station. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice, Mitchell County Historical Society or the Asherville Fire Station. Richard desired cremation and there will be no visitation.
