Richard B. Heeler

Richard Boyd Heeler was born on April 4, 1949 in Hunter, Kansas, the son of Richard F. and Charlotte Rounkles Heeler. He died Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Hilltop Lodge in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 70.

Richard grew up in Hunter, and the family moved to Beloit his senior year in high school, where he graduated.

He worked in a construction factory, where he helped build homes and prepared them for transportation. He also spent more than 22 years in the National Guard.

In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman and hunter of all kinds of game.

Richard lived the last 20 years in Natoma before recently moving back to Beloit to live in Hilltop Lodge. He will always be remembered for his good heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew Aaron Bulthaup.

Richard is survived by his son, Chris Heeler of Abilene, and his sister, Barbara Bulthaup and her husband Frank of Beloit.

Private family graveside services will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place & there will be no visitation.
