Richard A. Ives

Richard A. Ives passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 86 in the Pittsburg Care Center, Pittsburg, KS. He was born June 30, 1932 in Osborne, KS to Ancil and Dorothy (Quillen) Ives.

Later they moved to Woodston, KS where he called home. He finished grade school and graduated from Woodston Rural High School. He immediately enlisted in the Navy and was sent to San Diego for basic training. The war in Korea was needing a few good men.

He married Donna Williams on April 17, 1954. To this union there were three children – two sons, Dan Ives and Dale Ives, and one daughter, DeAnna (Ives) Kindall, all born in Osborne, KS. They have three grandchildren, Danielle (Ethan) Loy, Matthew Ives, and Karson Kindall.

Richard and his family moved to Beloit in 1973 to work in the Small Engine Department at Boettcher's, a job he dearly loved, and he stayed there until his retirement. He had a lot of customers and friends.

Funeral Services will be at 10AM Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Beloit.
