Rita J. Schroeder

Rita Jean Schroeder was born on January 16, 1955 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of John "Jack" and Phyllis Greenslade Thull. She died on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 62 years, 4 months, and 15 days.
On September 7, 1974, she was united in marriage with Leon C. Schroeder, and they were blessed to spend nearly 40 years of marriage together until he died in March, 2014.
Rita owned and operated RJS Salon in Tipton for more than 30 years and also enjoyed her Kids Day Out preschool for 20 years. She was very active in the Tipton community, serving on the School Board, FCE, and St. Boniface Church, as well as the Church Choir.
She greatly enjoyed singing, as well as using her spare time painting and drawing.
In addition to her husband Leon, she was preceded in death by her father, Jack, sister, Michelle, and twin daughters, Korin Phyllis and Elisha Christine, who died in infancy.
Rita is survived by her son, Kurstan and wife Kathy of Ft. Worth, TX; two daughters, Keegan Stucker and husband Will of Junction City, and Kealan of Pittsburgh, PA; her mother, Phyllis of Cawker City; two grandchildren, Natalie and Meredith; brothers, Tom Thull and wife Shelley, Steve Thull and wife Chrystal, and Brent Thull and wife Karie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday, June 5 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. A rosary service will be at 7 PM Sunday at the Church, & visitation will be from 5 PM until the rosary service Sunday at the Church.
