Robert Eugene Dubbert, 87, Tipton, died 1-15-25 at the Parkview Care Center in Osborne, Kansas. He was born on January 21, 1937 to William and Caroline (Carl) Dubbert near Tipton, Kansas.
He married Mary Gradig on June 6, 1964 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. They celebrated 60 years together. All those years were spent in Tipton. Together they raised 5 children.
He was a farmer his entire life. After high school he worked for a farmer in Kimball, NE for a year and Barnett Manufacturing in Cawker City for a short time before returning home to take over the family farm and tending his crops.
He was a member of the Tipton Knights of Columbus (K of C) for 69 years. He was an active member taking care of the K of C Hall as the bookkeeper and grounds keeper. He was a charter member of the Tipton Lions Club. He served as the high school Booster Club president for two years. He was on the planning board for creating and building the Tipton Oaks Golf Course. He was an avid golfer. He loved watching his children play sports and rarely missed a game. He enjoyed hunting and trapping and occasionally fishing.
Survivors include his wife Mary and children Stan & (Joni, grandchildren Carley and Jimmy, Sarah, and Eric), Baroda, MI, Gail & (David Becker, grandchildren Landon and Emily, Lexi and fiance' Tegan, Laci, Liana, and Luken), Wichita, KS, Joanie & (Rob Rasmussen, grandson Robert), Grafenwoehr, Germany, David & (Jeri, grandchildren Trey and Kennedy, Davis and Elise, Kail, and Lauryn), Beloit, KS and Ron & (Michelle, grandchildren Peyton and Braelyn, and Brenna), Hebron, NE. He has 4 great grandchildren, Joey and Jonny Becker, Beckham Dubbert and Briggs Dubbert and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gerald, Leon, Billy and Virgil, sisters Helen Muths and Kay Wagner and twin granddaughters, Emily and Elizabeth Becker.
Bob spent 2 ½ years being treated for dementia with exceptional care at the Resident Care Center in Beloit, Ks. and Parkview Care Center in Osborne, Ks.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday, January 20 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. Visitation will be from 5-6 PM Sunday at the Church, followed by a rosary service. Memorials may be given to the Tipton Community Foundation or the St. Boniface Catholic Church.
