Robert "Bob" H Vernon

Heaven gained an angel on June 22, 2017. Robert Henry Vernon was born May 8, 1926 to Bert and Effie Vernon at Simpson, Kansas.
On November 17, 1946, Robert and Betty Hollaway were united in marriage. They celebrated their 70th anniversary in November, 2016.
Bob, as he was known to many, wore many hats – husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, farmer, hunter, singer, golfer, and friend. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Betty; children, Rick of Fargo, North Dakota and Kay Solt of Concordia; grandchildren, Jason, Ty, Kayla, and Taylor; great grandchildren, Jason and Liam; and sister, Arlene Kadel of Beloit.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, June 27 at the Beloit First United Methodist Church followed by burial in Glasco Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Monday at the Church. Memorials may be given to the Church, Solomon Valley Hospice, or MCO Rural Fire District #1.
