Ruth E. Warburton

September 3, 1952 — October 2, 2011

Ruth Elaine Warburton was born on September 3, 1952, to Laurence and Evelyn (Bunch) Warburton in the old hospital in Beloit, Kansas and died on October 2, 2011, at the age of 59 years. She grew up in the family home west of Beloit, where her mother and brother Jim, still live. Ruth attended grade school at the Solomon Rapids school district through the 8th grade. She then transferred to Beloit where she attended High School, and graduated in 1970.
She wanted more than anything to take care of people so she attended the Beloit/Concordia School of Nursing, and graduated in 1971 as an LPN. She started work in Beloit for a short time, and then moved to Kansas City where she worked at the KU Med Center. After a few years she missed home and came back to Beloit, being employed by the Mitchell County Hospital as a unit secretary and then as a clerk in Medical Records. More recently, Ruth became self employed, working to take care of people in their homes, providing Home Care. She felt that this was her "true calling". Ruth led a quiet, simple life, and enjoyed the people that she cared for.
She kept busy with two hobbies, genealogy and crafts, and spent many hours - losing herself in them. Time would pass quickly as long as she was doing them. Ruth loved her special friends, and always had one - two - or sometimes three, cats. Ruth was a member of the The First Christian Church of Beloit.
Ruth was preceded in death by her father, Laurence. She leaves to mourn, her mother Evelyn and brother Jim of the home, her brother John also of Beloit, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. She will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, October 6 at the Beloit First Christian Church. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the McDonald Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Church.
