Sharon Kay Graf was born October 2, 1950 to Richard and Shirley Agnes Maley Sporleder at Beloit, Kansas. She died early Tuesday morning, August 1, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care Center in Lucas, Kansas at the age of 55.

Sharon spent most of her life in the Beloit community and graduated from Beloit High School.

Sharon married Junior Lee Pixler and to this union two children Karen and Randy were born. This union was later dissolved. In May, 1983, she married Larry Graf, and two children Steven and Brenda were born to this union.

For many years, Sharon worked as a cook for the Family Café in downtown Beloit. She was a housekeeper for the Mitchell County Hospital and finally worked as a cook for the Beloit Dairy Queen.

Always putting others first, Sharon cherished her family and friends. Her children were her life and she was always there for them. She loved people and her own uncanny sense of humor. Her leisure times were happiest spent going to the lake, playing Bingo and trying her luck with lottery tickets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Richard and Melvin Sporleder.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her husband Larry of the home; four children Karen Graves and husband Lonnie of Minneapolis, Randy Pixler and wife Chanci of Beloit, Steven Graf of Beloit, Brenda Graf of Concordia; sisters Lucille Boden and husband Charles of Simpson, Linda Stolzenberg and husband Ronnie of Clyde, Betty Golden and husband George of Beloit; brothers Gary Sporleder and wife Patty of Beloit, Jim Sporleder and wife Darlene of Glen Elder, Ronald Sporleder of Beloit; four beloved grandchildren and a host of many relatives and friends.

Sharon was cremated, and burial of her ashes will be in the family plot at Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Funeral Expense Fund. Arrangements were under the care and direction of the McDonald Funeral Home.
