Sherri L. Linton

November 7, 1953 — June 22, 2023

Glen Elder

Sherri Lynn Eberle Linton, age 69, of Glen Elder, KS passed peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Mitchell County Hospital Health System in Beloit, KS.

Sherri was born November 7, 1953 in Beloit, KS to Max L and Marjorie M Eberle.  Sherri graduated from Glen Elder High School in 1971 and was then united in marriage to Greg Linton on October 26, 1975.  This union was blessed with two children, Tiffany and Trevor.

Sherri was involved in the insurance industry for most of her working years and then owning her own agency for the last 20 plus years.

Sherri was a lifelong member of the Glen Elder Christian Church and played the piano for services many of those years. She was involved in the Beloit Rotary Club, Glen Elder Community Club, Crime Stoppers, Relay for Life and Eastern Star.  Sherri was a proud and strong supporter of many area activities.

Over her life Sherri enjoyed spending time at the lake with family and friends. Once the children were older she supported them in each and every one of their activities. As her children grew up and had families of their own, her grandchildren became the center of her world. Sherri was always up for a fun time with those closest to her.

In December 1991, Sherri was diagnosed with cancer. During the last 32 years, she was diagnosed with five other forms of the disease. With each of these diagnoses, she became stronger and more determined to live life to the fullest. Using her experiences, she was able to counsel many other cancer patients during their journey with her positive outlook and determination.

Sherri is survived by her daughter and best friend Tiffany Schroeder, husband Brad and daughters Hannah and Alison.  Her son, Trevor, wife Sarah and children Cole, Lauren, Aiden and Luke.  Her brother Ronald Eberle and wife Linda. Nieces and nephew Lisa (Eric)Totten, Travis (Mary) Eberle, and Tara (Mark) Bergmann, a supportive ex-husband, Greg Linton and an abundance of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Max and Marj Eberle.

Sherri was a friend to all and did not know a stranger. Never has there been a harder fighter or a bigger inspiration to anyone, especially those who were battling adversity.
