Susanne Renee Thompson was born December 31, 1963 to Walter Theodore and Helena Bernadine Steichen Gasper at Beloit, Kansas. Her life of 44 years, 9 months, and 18 days ended Saturday morning, October 18, 2008 near her home in San Angelo, Texas.
Susie, as everyone knew her, graduated from Tipton High School. She continued her education at Fort Hays State University, and then returned to Beloit where she worked as a sales clerk for James Clothing. Susie later worked in the Mitchell County Register of Deeds office and later became the Register of Deeds.
On May 1, 1993, she married Bill Thompson at Beloit and two children Wesley and Mary Grace were born to this union. They lived in Beloit for several years and then moved to Texas, and recently made their home in San Angelo. There, she was a teacher's assistant at Santa Rita Elementary School.
Her world revolved around her husband, her beautiful children, and her Catholic Faith. Her vibrant personality touched everyone she met, making many new friends in her short time in San Angelo.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Left to mourn her untimely death and celebrate her life are her husband Bill and children Wesley and Mary Grace all of the home; her mother Helena Gasper of Tipton; four brothers Kenneth Gasper and wife Brigit of Tipton; Daniel and wife Lois of Stockton, Roger Gasper of Salina, Richard Gasper and wife Rhonda of Loudon, Tennessee; four sisters Cheryl Gasper of Wichita, Jolene Williamson and husband Olin of Hutchinson, Kathy Houser and husband Gilbert of Solomon, Janice Kohn and husband Allen of Greenville, North Carolina; along with a host of many nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorials may be given to the Tipton Catholic High School.
The Funeral Mass for Susanne "Susie" Thompson will be celebrated by Father Damian Richards at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 24, 2008 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Tipton Catholic High School.
The Parish Vigil & Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home in Beloit.
