Van Clark Wichers was born June 16, 1958 to Robert Anton and Phyllis Joyce Clark Wichers at Hays, Kansas. He departed this life of 53 years Friday, December 2, 2011 in Beloit, Kansas.
A lifetime resident of Beloit, Van graduated from Beloit High School in the Class of 1976. He farmed for his father for many years and did maintenance work for the Professional Photographers Color Corporation before joining the City of Beloit.
He married Lea Anna Bell and two daughters Alex and Aubrey were born to this union which was later dissolved.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Van was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Wichers in October, 2011.
Survivors are his daughters Alex and Aubrey Wichers both of Beloit; his father Robert A. Wichers of Beloit; one brother Robert Wichers, Jr. and wife Shirley of Beloit; two sisters Joyce Pearson and husband Dennis of Barnard, Rebecca Phillips and husband Kevin of Goddard, and a host of many relatives and friends.
Interment Services for his ashes will be at 10 AM Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Elmwood Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Fogo officiating. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or the Beloit First United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation.
