Roy Vann Timbers was born 17 May 1953 to Roy and Dorothy Bowman Timbers at Beloit, Kansas.
He departed this life of 60 years Wednesday, 15 January 2014 at Beloit, Kansas.
Vann, as he was known and loved by all, was a father, son, an uncle, a brother, and a friend to many.
Born and raised in the Glen Elder area, he grew up raising and training quarter horses and spent his youth getting into more trouble than he probably should have.
He spent his adult life as a horseman, a cattleman, a ranch hand, and an auctioneer.
He raised a family of three with Marilyn Timbers on a ranch outside of Tipton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, open spaces, the mountains of Colorado, family, and good conversation.
Vann was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lund.
He is survived and missed by his parents, Roy and Dorothy Timbers of rural Glen Elder; his children Cade Timbers of Houston, TX, Thane Timbers and wife Angela of Catlett, Virginia, and Cianna Kulik and husband Hadrien of New York, NY, along with many other friends and family members.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Tipton Community Center. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or to the Charity of the Donor's Choice. Vann requested cremation and there will be no visitation.
