Mary Virginia Vetter, 90, died November 7, 2012 at Hilltop Lodge, Beloit, Kansas after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born February 12, 1922 in Jewell, Kansas to Dr. Harve and Irma Frank.
She is survived by a daughter, Jana Weltmer and husband Jeff of Olathe and their daughters Anne LaFon and her husband Steve and their daughters, Delaney and Quinlyn of Overland Park, Kansas and their daughter Kelli Blakeney and her two sons, Mikai and Keaton, of Springfield, Missouri. Virginia is also survived by her two sons, John and wife, Susan, and children, Steven and Allison of Valley Center and Jim and his wife, Robin, of Nixa, Missouri, and their daughter, Chelsea Wisdom, and her husband, Grady, and their son Gavin of Springfield, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, of 53 years and their son, Dick.
Virginia loved being a mother and a wife of a farmer. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, vocal and bell choirs, and taught Sunday school. Some of her favorite times were traveling with the whole family and playing bridge with friends and the Vetter and Ludwig cousins.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Beloit. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Church or Solomon Valley Hospice. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.
