Warren Donald Joerg was born on July 27, 1945 to Raymond J. and Lois "Marie" Stevland Joerg in Concordia, Kansas. He died early Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Downs, Kansas at the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 8 days.
Warren grew up and attended school in Randall, before attending Ft. Hays State University, where he played on the baseball team. Following graduation, he moved to Kansas City, where he worked 10 years for Bristol-Myers Squibb. He then moved back to Randall to help on the family farm and to help care for his brother Doug.
In 1975, he was married to Marilyn Pfannenstiel. They were privileged to be married for 7 years until her death in 1982.
In 1989, he was married to Marilyn Manley, combining their families as one. They've been privileged to spend 27 years of marriage together.
Warren was known as a car enthusiast – he owned four classic cars, and attended car shows with Marilyn around the country for 20 years. Over the years, he met and became friends with many people, who usually all traveled to the same shows together.
He also served on the school board and volunteer fire department for many years, as well as the Randall mayor.
Warren loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed taking vacations with them.
In addition to his first wife Marilyn, he was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Doug.
Warren is survived by his wife Marilyn; four children, Curt Staab and his wife Amy of Hays, Julie Splichal and her husband Aron of Hays, Megan Brown and her husband Doug of Mission, and Brittany Joerg and her fiancé Casey Flax of Manhattan; five grandchildren, Addison, Caden, Hannah, Evan, and Mireya; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday, July 11 at the McDonald Funeral Home followed by burial in the Randall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 PM with family present from 6-7:30 PM Sunday, July 10 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Randall Community Center or the NCK Tech Auto Collision Scholarship Fund.
