Wayne C. Miner, age 71, died on March 16, 2019 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Linda Miner; his son, Kevin Miner of Osborne; his daughter, Amy Miner of Beloit; his sister, Calvina Thomas of Houston; brothers, Curtis Miner of Osborne, and Kendall Miner and wife Renee of Russell; three grandchildren, Joey Nopens of Beloit, Samantha Nopens of Beloit, and Alexus Nopens of Beloit; a great granddaughter, Tandin of Beloit; many nieces, nephews, family members, close friends; and his dogs, Riley and Remmi.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Miner.
Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 27, 1947, he was the third child of Calvin and Lavina Miner.
In his early years, Mr. Miner was active in all sports while in school, and was an active outdoorsman.
He was always a dedicated worker, and was determined to be successful with every job opportunity.
Mr. Miner graduated from Osborne High School in 1965, and enlisted with the National Guards, where he received top honors in his rank as a shooter.
Mr. Miner worked as a foreman at the GT Plant in Osborne, and later became self employed with Wayne's Tree Service and Wayne's Wholesale Bait and Tackle with his son Kevin and grandson Joey Nopens.
Cremation has been chosen, and private family services will take place at a later date.
