William Joseph Koetting was born to William Francis and Anna Mae Botel Koetting on June 5, 1968 in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life of 39 years and 4 months on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas following a job related accident earlier in the week.
"Joe", as everyone knew him, grew up in the Kansas City-Olathe area and attended a year of college. He did a number of things during his short life, and his adventures in life took him to several locales including the metro Kansas City area, Jefferson City, Missouri, Norton, Kansas and finally north central Kansas. He was currently a packing line operator at Hubbard Feed Mills in Beloit.
On February 25, 2005, he married his best friend Karen May Baker in Kansas City. Following their marriage, they lived briefly in Norton, Kansas where he lovingly assisted Karen in caring for her mother during her final illness.
Always a hard worker, Joe made the best of things. He was a great father and husband who was very protective of his children and family. He liked staying busy, and when not at work, could be found working on cars as he had a special knack for keeping them running. Joe also enjoyed the very simple things of life; he loved the great outdoors and always took note of a brilliant sunrise or sunset. He was a dreamer and often enjoyed looking at the stars, quick to point out the various constellations.
His mother preceded him in death.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his wife Karen of the home, his father William F. Koetting of Adrian, Missouri; one son Michael Koetting of Raymore, Missouri; one daughter Jennifer Koetting of Beloit; three step children Desiree Rice, Patrick Everhart and William Everhart all of Beloit; one sister Donna Koetting of Raymore, Missouri; one brother Mitch Koetting also of Raymore; a host of many relatives and friends.
