Dr. William Stanley "Stan" Randall, age 82, died April 7, 2009 in Hilltop Lodge in Beloit, Kansas after a battle with polymyositis. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 19, 1926, the son of Owen Heath and Helen Meng Randall.
On July 7, 1951, he was united in marriage with Shirley Maxine Hummel in Tulsa. They were privileged to spend 45 years of marriage together until her death in 1996. Three children were born to this union.
Dr. Randall practiced dentistry in Liberal, Kansas for many years until he retired in 1991 and moved to Grove, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy, and was a veteran of World War II.
His favorite pastimes were restoring vintage automobiles, and eating out at his favorite restaurant.
In addition to his wife Shirley, he was preceded in death by his identical twin brother Ed; his sister Thelma; and a grandson, Logan.
He is survived by his sons, John Randall of Chicago, and Tom Randall and his wife Kise of Paola, Kansas; his daughter Janet Allen and her husband Gary of Beloit; 7 grandsons; 2 step-granddaughters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Beloit First Christian Church. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Myositis Association or the Church.
