Phil & Tami Roberts
Funeral Directors
At the helm of Roberts Family Funeral Service since 2017, Phil and Tami Roberts carry forward a legacy rooted in compassion, community, and decades of funeral service expertise. Formerly known as McDonald-Roberts Funeral Home, the firm has long been a pillar of care for families in Beloit and the surrounding areas.
Phil, a second-generation funeral director, joined the firm in 2001 as a licensed funeral director. His father, Max Roberts, devoted 38 years to the business as part-owner of McDonald-Roberts Funeral Home. A graduate of Beloit High School and Kansas State University, Phil has also served his community as Mayor of Beloit and is an active member of the Odyssey Club (formerly the Lions Club). A lifelong sports enthusiast, he is a loyal fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, enjoys collecting sports cards, and spends much of his free time playing golf with Tami, family, and friends.
Tami, Phil’s wife, is also a licensed funeral director and embalmer, having earned her credentials from DMACC. She takes pride in serving the community and has been actively involved in GriefShare. With a background in healthcare and a love for helping others, Tami also continues to work occasional shifts at the hospital. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, time with family and friends, and watching her grandchildren.
Phil and Tami’s family includes Luke Winkel and his wife Aubree with their five children; Zach Winkel and his wife Shana with their one child; and Karissa Frasier and her husband Trevor.
Together, Phil and Tami uphold a family-first philosophy, blending tradition with personalized, compassionate care for the communities they are honored to serve.
